Igloo Frozen Custard in Lafayette

Honestly I have been going to this particular igloo since I was little and even though the staff is short and time is a bit slow the food is good by my standards and would reccomend this place to anyone looking for a diverse soda/ice cream/food "except breakfast" for anybody looking for a quick sweet/tasty - snack/meal to put into their meal plan.

Excellent ice cream cones. Real Homemade ice cream. Try the Strawberry.

Love their juices! And their turtle sundae....mmmmmmm. Service is decent and comes with a smile. Food is not excellent but really good.

Every summer they provide me with consistent quality in my craving for chocolate Coke.

Staff that waited on us was not friendly. Seemed like she didn't want to be there. Ice cream/ custard is pretty good. I've had a lot better. I had oreo and dark chocolate raspberry. The dark chocolate raspberry had a good flavor, but there were lots of ice crystals in it. Just not impressed after seeing all the cool things they advertise on social media.

The staff at igloo are fast and quick to make any corrections in an order. They are helpful and are good at making suggestions as well.

I recommend going to dairy Queen. Dairy Queen is cheaper than the igloo.

Excellent food and service at a reasonable price

Our food just wasn't good. The burger was nearly burnt and chewy patties. Really skimpy on the toppings. Hardly any coney sauce on our coney. Onion rings were burnt as well. The custard is good but skip everything else.

Kids loved the ice cream and I had an old fashioned banana split and it was great

Expensive! My co-worker ran there to get us lunch and I gave her a $10, expecting quiet a bit of change back since all I was getting was a cheeseburger and fried pickles. Not only was the cheeseburger cheese-less, it was dry and the bun crumbled. The fried pickles were ok (small portion), but they were $4 and I was charged $.50 for ranch - ridiculous. For just those 2 items, my bill came out to be $9.06 after tax. Won't be making that mistake again....

Great local diner/ice cream place. Typical diner food, with a lot of deep fried on the menu. Staffed with high school kids who have always been very pleasant, as opposed to some fast food chains staffed by high schoolers who would rather be anywhere else than at a place serving you food. Burgers are greasy and delicious. Tenderloins are a staple. The fries are the best. About the size of the fries at Wendy's, but they have this crunchy crust that makes them my favorite fry around.

I enjoy stopping in here apon occasion for one of there outstanding ice cream sundaes.

Creamy, but not much flavor. Could barely trade any chocolate flavor and could taste no carmel flavor in my Turtle Sundae. Generous amount of pecans.

Best Coke in town!I had to change from 4 stars because they have changed something in the coke, the mix isn't right and tastes more like carbonated water with a splash of coke. I quit going there.Update: 9/27/19I stopped for a Coke the other day and it was wonderful again! They must have changed the mix back or something. I'm happy!

Nice little frozen yogurt shop with some food

Fun place, old fashioned soda was really good. The floors are crazy sticky but otherwise the place was clean and the staff was very friendly.

Igloo has the best variety and flavors of cold treats. Their Bosco sticks and french fries are heavenly! The interior and exterior seating is always clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Some of the food portions are definitely not worth the money you spend. The taco salad was not nearly worth the over $7 that I spent. However, Igloo isn't meant to be a restaurant - it is an ice cream shop and that is what they do best!

We live within walking distance, which is a great luxury with kids. Of course the ice cream is very good, but the food is surprisingly great, too.

Whether grabbing a sandwich, flavored coke, or custard...it's always an awesome experience. The 50's atmosphere will take you back in time...

Awesome classic icecream shop! I got a malt and two cony dog. Amazing. Fairly inexpensive. My wife got a nut bar and the fruit drink. This is a local fav. I would recommend stopping by.

Terrible customer service, it’s a couple kids running the place every time, the last two times I’ve been there they were just rude. They do have great breaded tenderloin sandwiches & awesome cherry coke. Other then that I wouldn’t order any other food off the menu, to overpriced for the quality of the food.

I'm not sure I even need to say anything about Igloo to convince people they should try it out as it is already a staple of Lafayette. If you live in Lafayette and you haven't gone to Igloo I would be shocked.I really enjoy the Blue Moon frozen custard, but the biggest reason to come here is the drinks. I don't know what they do to the soda machine, but whatever they are doing works. They have many flavors you can add to your Coca-Cola brand sodas. My top 3 flavors are: Vanilla, Boysenberry, and Tigers blood. If you are a student at Purdue, or anyone who just moved to Lafayette then come to Igloo. If you live here already then you already know how great it is.

Dirt sundae was awesome! No drippy sauce. Wish the custard had been chocolate. Serving size was good for the money.

Fast service, totally reccomend the peanut butter shake

Heard this is the best frozen yogurt place in town so of course we had to stop by and check it out. I ordered their classic vanilla custard, my husband ordered the peanut butter fudge sundae, and brother in law got the Oreo custard. Everything was very delicious, but man was it sweet, rich, and creamy. I am so glad I ordered a small because it was a bit too rich for me. Everyone really enjoyed what they got and I wouldn't mind coming back, but I'm sticking with small sized orders.
